External Review: Southland Training Australia has agreed to participate in external monitoring & audit processes required by DET.  This covers random quality audits, audit following complaint & audit for the purpose of re-registration.

Access & Equity: Southland Training Australia's access & equity policy integrates the Access & Equity Guidelines except where it is exempted under Section 109 -General Exemptions for Religious Bodies of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, Division 3, Subdivision B.

Staff Qualifications: Appropriately qualified staff will assess the extent to which the applicant is likely to achieve the stated competency standards & outcomes of the course, based on their qualifications & experience.

Recognition of other Registered Training Organisation Qualifications: Southland Training Australia confirms that it recognises AQF qualifications and statements of attainment issued by any other RTO as valid evidence for the purpose of credits carried across to Southland Training Australia.

Quality Management Focus: Southland Training Australia has a commitment to providing a quality service & a focus on continuous improvement.  We value feedback from Students, trainers, & industry representatives.  Where possible we design diagnostic assessment instruments & pathways that provide this feedback.

Course Delivery Guarantee: Southland Training Australia has entered into a reciprocal VET tuition/course guarantee with Hope College on the Gold Coast [Australia].  Should there be any reason that Southland Training Australia is unable to continue to deliver the course you signed up for, due to end of registration of courses or Southland Training Australia's ability to deliver courses, the student will be able to transfer to Hope College.*

Management and Administration: Southland Training Australia has policies & procedures, which ensure sound financial & administrative practices.  We guarantee Southland Training Australia's sound financial position & safeguard Student fees until used for training or assessment.  We have a fair & equitable refund policy.  Student records are kept securely & confidentially & access will only be provided according to privacy laws.  Southland Training Australia will have any relevant insurance necessary to the operational needs.

Marketing and Advertising: Southland Training Australia markets training products with integrity, accuracy & professionalism.

Storage of Records: Southland Training Australia keeps all student records in electronic format in three different locations in a safe environment. Records are kept for 30 years as per legislative requirements.  See here

Training & Assessment: Southland Training Australiais a Registered Training Organisation nationally recognised under the Australian Quality Training Framework & has personnel with appropriate qualifications & experience to deliver relevant training & assessment, including recognition of prior learning & credit transfer.  Adequate training materials, appeals procedures & valid, reliable, flexible & fair assessment processes will be utilized.  Students will be advised on assessment requirements before training commences.

Service to Clients: Sound management practices are in place to ensure effective client service & timely issuing of Student assessment results & qualifications.  Our quality focus includes a Recognition of Prior Learning & Recognition of Current Competence Policy, a fair & equitable Refund Policy, a Grievance & Appeal Policy, an Access & Equity Policy & Student welfare & guidance services. Literacy &/or numeracy support programs are available where necessary.  We will take every opportunity to ensure that this information is disseminated, understood & valued by personnel and Students.

Complaints/Appeals/Grievances Procedure: A grievance may arise if you believe that an incorrect decision or inappropriate behaviour has adversely affected students.  The college has in place pathways to resolution.  Application can be made through the Southland Training Australiaoffice.

International Students: Southland Training Australia will be bound to the education services for overseas services [registration of provider's financial regulations] Act 1991.
